Home / Blog / Announcements / Supporting the Next Generation of MdDS Research Our Blog Announcements, Research 8.12.26 Supporting the Next Generation of MdDS Research Next Generation Research Grant (NGRG) The MdDS Foundation has partnered with the American Brain Foundation (ABF) to offer the Next Generation Research Grant in Mal de Débarquement Syndrome (MdDS). This two-year, $150,000 award is designed to support and encourage early-career researchers: who are studying MdDS disease mechanisms or translational research specifically designed to develop treatments for or enhance diagnosis or prevention of MdDS, and whose research has potential relevance beyond Mal de Débarquement Syndrome. Key Award Details Award Amount: $150,000 total ($75,000 per year for 2 years) to support salary and research-related expenses Purpose: To facilitate high-quality basic, preclinical, clinical, or translational MdDS research and research career development by early-career investigators Application Deadline: October 8, 2026 — DEADLINE EXTENSION PENDING Funding Period: July 1, 2027 – June 30, 2029 How to Apply: Submit via the Proposal Central Grant Portal. I have spontaneous MdDs , I read an article in aarp about a man who has essential tremors and the fda approved a wrist strap that looks like a watch and helps his tremors a lot , also London has made a watch type band to control tics from tourets . Why can’t you people come up with something similar for MdDs . Tremors, tourets and MdDs all happen in the brain. Thanks Reply
